What is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu?
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a martial art and combat sport that teaches a smaller person how to defend himself against a larger adversary by using leverage and proper technique. The Gracie family, the founders of BJJ, modified judo and traditional Japanese jujutsu to create this art. It contains stand-up maneuvers, but it is most famous for its devastating ground-fighting techniques.

Why Jiu Jitsu?
”During my training, I have studied the movement patterns of people from ages 5 to 75. I see more and more people becoming restricted in their movements. Kids can no longer squat all the way to the floor and they can just about touch their toes. What we have come to accept as a healthy range of motion is, in fact, very far from where we all could be. These restrictions can be eliminated easily, if addressed at a young age. It is my goal to help kids maintain their mobility as they grow up and to help adults regain what they have lost. Living and eating clean and respecting oneself and others are the founding principles of this martial art which can become a way of life.”

Our Classes
Kids Jiu Jitsu
Fun, safe environment for children to learn the fundamentals of this martial art and to inspire children to make it a way of life. Classes focus on sparring and fun interactive games.
Adult Jiu Jitsu
You do not need to be fit or a super athlete to join. Adult sessions will help you to build coordination and mobility core concepts and teach positions and situational techniques
Yoga
Our classes combine breathing and flowing movement to stretch your muscles. develop core strength, flexibility and balance to support your body in it’s day to day movements.
